Dell PowerEdge M1000e - TenGigaBit interface showing 40000 Mbit speed
I all,
I got the Aggregators configured as a stack. The uplinks I have configured are Te 0/52 and Te 1/52 and this 2 interfaces are part of a port-channel.
Te 0/52 Up 10000 Mbit Full --
Te 1/52 Up 40000 Mbit Full --
I cannot understand why a 10 gbps display a speed of 40 gbps. I have another cage with the same configuration working well and forming a port-channel with no problems.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
What model switch is in the chassis? What firmware version is the switch at? Is it working aside from showing the wrong speed?

Hey,
The model is a PowerEdge M1000e with Firmware 5.10.
It is working because the interface from the other switch (T0/52) is providing the cage's connectivity and now this physical interface its the only active member on the port-channel:
dc-b11-comp02-sw01#sh interfaces port-channel 120
Port-channel 120 is up, line protocol is up
Created by LACP protocol
(...)
LineSpeed 10000 Mbit
Members in this channel: Te 0/52(U)
(...)
These uplinks are connected to a pair of nexus that form a VPC.
Thank you for the quick reply.

The M1000e is the chassis. Though updating the CMC to 5.11 could help. http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=J13JH&fileId=3494681728&osCode=WNET&productCode=poweredge-m1000e&languageCode=EN&categoryId=CE The switch model is something like an MXL, i/o aggregator, M8024-k. Have you tried to shutdown and no shutdown the port?

Yeah, you're right. The model is an i/o aggregator. And yes, I tried to shut/no shut.
I'm thinking about updating but it is strange that we have an enclosure in the same scenario that's configured in a similar way and we have no problems with it.

I would try rebooting the switch, doing a physical or virtual reseat of the hardware to try to get it to re-detect the proper port speed. Then try updating the CMC and i/o aggregator firmware.
