hi,

you can download the mibs from the dell ftp-server:

ftp://ftp.dell.com/network/PowerConnect54xx_MIBs_A00.zip

ftp://ftp.dell.com/network/PowerConnect34xx_MIBs_A01.zip

I monitor the following oids from my 3400 with nagios:

  • global status: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.3000.1.2.110.1.0
  • fan1: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.3000.1.2.110.7.1.1.3.67109249
  • fan2: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.3000.1.2.110.7.1.1.3.67109250
  • temp value: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.89.53.15.1.9.1
  • temp status: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.89.53.15.1.10.1
  • power ac: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.3000.1.2.110.7.2.1.3.67109185
  • power dc: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.3000.1.2.110.7.2.1.3.67109186
  • cpu util 1 minute: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.89.1.8.0
  • cpu util 5 mintes: 1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.89.1.9.0

If you have a 34XXP, then you can also monitor fan3-fan5 (67109251-67109253). Also interesting might be the power comsumption of your devices:

  • main pse power: 1.3.6.1.2.1.105.1.3.1.1.2.1
  • pse comsumption: 1.3.6.1.2.1.105.1.3.1.1.4.1

Perhaps someone else knows the oids for memory usage?

Hope that helps. I don't have 54XX in my network, just 53XX and 62XX.

best regards...

Nils

Hi Nils,

I require the OID's for Temperature and CPU for the PowerConnect 62XX. If there is any chance you could pass these on you'd be doing me a huge favour.

Regards

Russell

Hello!

The Temperature OID's are not present for the current 62xx firmware (2.2.0.3), but will be included in the next set of firmware and MIB revisions, dubbed 3.0 due to come out by the end of June.  Included is a new MIB called FASTPATH-BOXSERVICES-PRIVATE-MIB which will contain the OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2..6132.1.1.43.1.8.1.4 for the temperature sensor reading.

I'm not able to locate CPU utilization and am looking further into the issue.  If not present, I'll request the addition for the next MIB release.

Here we are near November and I see no newer firmware for the 6248.  I'd like to be able to pull temps since ours are burning up in the top of full racks.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Edit:  I've looked at the drivers and downloads page for my 6248 svc tags and without them just choosing the product and I see no 3.x firmware available.

The 3.x firmware is still in the works and due to be out very soon.  Until available you do still have the options of pulling the temps through the cli or web ui.  The cli command is "show system" and will provide you the temperature, temperature status, fan and power supply status.    The web ui under the General-Health page shows the same information.  I hope this is some help for now until the fw becomes available.

Using 6248 3.2.x.x firmware the CPU util oids are

        .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.1.1.4.3.1.2  and
        .1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10895.5000.2.6132.1.1.1.1.4.3.1.3

The updated MIB is included in the firmware zip file PC6200v3.2.0.7.zip.

hope this helps.
