N1500 series switch firmware 6.6.0.2 no mac-based authentication anymore?
Switch: N1548
Firmware: 6.6.0.2
Goal: mac-based port authentication with radius
Manual used: Dell EMC Networking N-Series Switches User Guide version 6.6.0.x
following the manual on page 794 top line in the PDF you should be able to do a dot1x port-control mac-based
but:
nr31(config-if-Gi1/0/2)#dot1x ? max-reauth-req Configure the maximum number of request-Identity requests to be sent. max-req Configure the maximum number of requests to be sent. pae Set the PAE capability mode on the specified port. timeout Configure Dot1x timeout values.
the command is not there anymore in this firmware?
After some research found some commands moved to authentication apparently:
nr31(config-if-Gi1/0/2)#authentication port-control ? auto Enter auto - for default auto mode. force-authorized Enter force-authorized to disable authentication check. force-unauthorized Enter force-unauthorized to deny all access through this interface.
but... still no mac-based.
the same switchtype but with firmware 6.5.3.7 still has the command.
NR32(config-if-Gi1/0/13)#dot1x port-control ? auto Enter auto - for default auto mode. force-authorized Enter force-authorized to disable authentication check. force-unauthorized Enter force-unauthorized to deny all access through this interface. mac-based Enter mac-based to enable Mac-based 802.1x Authentication for this interface.
So. summing things up:
1. firmware 6.6.0.2 does not contain mac-based authentication anymore or am I wrong?
2. It is not documented in the manuals of 6.6.0.x
Anyway: anyone out there that has any idea how to configure mac-based authentication on this firmware version?
Kind regards,
Addy

Can you help me with that? :)

Nope :(
You have reached the limit for number of private messages that you can send for now. Please try again later.
