PowerConnect 5524 with 3rd Party Optics

We are using Champion One 10KM and 40KM BIDI (single fiber) 10GB optics (10GSFP+) in  Dell Powerconnect 5524
Switches (firmware 4.1.0.10). We are running the switches in stacked pairs with
an optic in each switch (using Link Aggregation).  The switch pairs are
communication fine until we need to reboot or lose power.  After power is
restored, we have no communications through the optics.  However,
communications are restored when we disconnect and reconnect the fiber patch
cords.  Has anybody come across this type of behavior?

Thanks

Brian

I have not run across this scenario before.  I looked thru the release notes on the latest firmware.  There is no mention of a fix referenced in the notes.

Would you get the same resolution if you went into the command line of the switch and manually shutdown / no shutdown the interfaces that were having the problem.  This is obviously not a complete resolution.  Trying to get a better understanding of how the hardware is reacting.

I will ask around and see if anyone has run into this type of situation before.

Willy, The "shutdown/no shutdown" didn't work, but a good suggestion, Thanks Brian
