Replacing a stack member with a different type of switch
Hi,
I need to replace a stack member, N2048, with a N2048P switch.
What is the correct procedure for this? I cant seem to find any documentation.
I guess that this will mess up the config because it will be a different Model ID inserted?

I believe the config would stay intact If you power down the stack, replace the stack member, and then power up the stack. If the config changes, it should be just for those ports that correspond to the replaced stack member. I suggest ensuring you have a current backup of the config before swapping out.
