Spine VLT switches running out of ports

Hi,

In my environment, we have 2x Spine switches peered with VLT, however it is running out of ports.

Is there anyway we can add switches to the VLT domain just like stacked switches?

Will mVLT (Multi-domain VLT) help in this case?

Thank you.

Hi @Edwin10001,

Unfortunately, maximum unit for VLT domain is 2 therefore you will not be able to add more switch.

Edwin10001,

You wouldn't be able to add to it, as you already have 2 spines. Now in regarding your mVLT question, it may resolve the issue for you, but without knowing which switches or OS versions you're using it is hard to say.

You can see an example of how we support mVLT here.

Hi Chris,

Thank you for the prompt advice.

Sorry for the confusion, we have a single logical Spine Switch (2 physical switches with VLT-peered) with firewall as an upstream device.

Both are Dell EMC Switches running on OS10.

Thank you.
