1390 WLAN Limited Access or No Connection Issue with Inspirion 6400
I Have Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-Card with chipset BCM4311/ BCM2050 Rev 4.4; for my brand new Inspirion 6400 notebook pc. I have wireless DSL connection from Vodafone and "Arcor DSL WLAN Modem 200 router, I tried to connect using Dell wirelessWLAN Card Utility and also using windows wireless zero connection utiliy. But in both cases it shows same message after trying to connect, "This connection has limited or no connectivity you may not be able to acccess internet or some network resource.....". It shows excellent strenght of signal but no connection. I used correct network password and SSID. The internet connection works with wired LAN but wireless not. Also when i plug external wireless USB lan adapter it works correctly. I have dual OS , Vista Home Premium and XP SP2 Professional. On both OS problem is same. I tired all ways like, Giving IP 192.168.1.1 or Auto IP selection etc but in vain! i also tried restarting PC many times. Image of my errors can be seen on Desktop snapshot image on this link http://www.flickr.com/photos/10058943@N00/485021964/in/photostream/
I am in Germany and bought PC here only. Also it shows on Informations tab of Dell Wireless utility that my current location is USA. I think this problem could be because of Location. how can i change that to Germany. See the image on this location giving snapshot of it...
Re: 1390 WLAN Limited Access or No Connection Issue with Inspirion 6400
Check if your security key is WPA. Try changing it to WEP and then see if 1390 connects to it. If not, please right click on Wireless Network Connections icon in the Network Connections window and choose repair. Please let me know the error message. Also you dont seem to have the correct driver installed (if it is showing US), please install the correct driver by downloading it from here :- http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R151517.EXE
