370 bluetooth for xps 1640 not adding devices after win7 64bit install

I installed and re-installed every driver i could find on dell, google, toshiba and gateway.  nothing is working.  my bluetooth mouse was working fine before my windows 7 install and now nothing.  the application works and my drivers are recognized in device manager, but nothing comes up when i show my bluetooth devices.  anyone have a working bluetooth devices with the 370 for windows 7?  thanks.

my phone doesnt show up on bluetooth add device list. what driver are you using?

dell studio xps 1640

windows7 64bit

t9600 intel centrino2  2.8ghz

4gb ram

Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Internal (2.0+Enhanced Data Rate)

bump.  I called support and that was a waste of time, theyre going to call me back tomorrow.  any info on this problem?

I'm having the same problem. Tech support couldn't figure it out and sent somebody to replace the 370 card. That didn't work either. I'll be happy to post the fix if they come up with one.

After about a month of trouble shooting with dell, I had to reformat and re-install windows 7.  my bluetooth works great now.  I think the problem was with the dell upgrade assistant disc I used.  its junk, just boot from the windows 7 disc to install.

I'm having the same problem. Tech support couldn't figure it out and sent somebody to replace the 370 card. That didn't work either. I'll be happy to post the fix if they come up with one. 

7 weeks later...

I'm still waiting for Dell to get back to me on this. Looks like they have no intention of honoring the warranty. Time to contact the FTC.

i would just back up your files or move them to a different partition (or edit your current partitions using partition wizard (worked great for me)) and reformat.  dont use dell upgrade disc.

PapaMoon,  Had troubles as well.....  Here is what myself and a friend whom is a high end Computer tech did.  Read the bottom Respose.  The driver did work just not in the correct order.  Need to update to restart the computer after updating the DFU file.  Hope this gets you working did for me when dell had no answers for me.
