BSNL 3G LW273 Dongel is not supporting on Dell Inspiron 15 – 3537 with Ubuntu 13.10 on 64 bits?
My new Laptop Dell Inspiron 15 – 3537 with Ubuntu on January 2014. Without checking Data stick connectivity, I completely removed preloaded Ubuntu OS and reinstalled Ubuntu 13.10. Same laptop is able to access Internet service using Wi-Fi and wired connections.
In India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is a most leading company in Telecommunication and Internet Service Provider. They have different types 3G USB Dongel. My USB dongel (BSNL 3G Data stick)’s software is Teracom LW273.
When I am using same 3G Data stick on Ubuntu 13.10, BSNL data stick (USB Modem) is not activated and not working.
I came to know that Vendor ID is 230d and Product is 0101 by using lsusb command at Ubuntu terminal command.
I am using VMware player as virtual machine for Windows 7. That Data stick also not working in Windows 7. The same Data stick has been using since last 3 years in Window XP Desktop.
Dell customer care centre is saying that there is no hardware and driver problem at Laptop because Wi-Fi and Wired connection Internet are working well.
Teracom (BSNL) people are saying that their Modem is working well since last 3 years on Windows XP with another desktop. So their Data stick is has no problem.
Is it necessary to load all drivers after Ubuntu 13.10 installation?
Now I am hopeless to solve my problem. Kindly give in details to solve my problem. Please send email to <ADMIN NOTE: Email id removed as per privacy policy>at earliest.
Thanking you.
