Bluetooth Not Working

Hi i have an Inspiron N5010.

I cannot seem to get the Bluetooth working on this laptop. I am trying to connect to my new Sony Bluetooth Speaker. It does not Pair with it. Other devices e.g. my mobile phone pair with the speaker fine.

Am I missing something here? The Adapter in on, but when I 'Add a Bluetooth Device' it cannot find the speaker.

Do I need to uninstall / reinstall the Bluetooth Driver?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dom

Hi Tootinator,

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum,

It is unfortunate that you were not able connect the speakers through Bluetooth, please follow the below mentioned steps to connect to the speakers.

1. If the Bluetooth device is installed, verify the radio is enabled.

2. You can turn the wireless and Bluetooth cards on or off using the F2 key.

3. There should be a Bluetooth control panel that lists all the devices the computer recognized

4. Once you you've paired it. Now you need to "connect" it by click on the connect button

5. Once you connect, THEN the sound would be piped through the speakers
