CANNOT ACCESS MY DESKTOP AT WORK FROM THIS LAPTOP

I AM A SUPERVISOR FOR THIS COMPANY AND SOMETIMES I WORK FROM HOME. TO DO THAT MY COMPANY PROVIDES US WITH A REMOTE ACCESS LINK TO ACCESS OUR DESKTOPS AT WORK. SINCE I BOUGHT THIS LAPTOP I HAVE HAD ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS, CANNOT ACCESS MY DESKTOP FROM HOME, TREND SECURITY DOES NOT LET ME, HAVE TO DISABLE THE SECURITY SYSTEM, LATELY EVEN DISABLING TREND SECURITY AND MICROSOFT SECURITY I CANNOT ACCESS MY DESKTOP. MY IT GUYS AT WORK TELL ME IT HAS TO DO WITH TREND SECUITY.  HAS ANYBODY OUT THERE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM? I SHOULD HAVE RETURNED THIS COMPUTER THE FIRST TIME I HAD PROBLEMS. EVERYTIME MICROSOFT DOWNLOADS UPDATES AND RESTARTS THIS LAPTOP, IT DOES NOT RESTART AND IT GOES TO SOME AUTO REPAIR PROGRAM TILL ONE DAY IT WAS UNABLE TO REPAIR, I CALLED DELL, IT IS BETTER BUT SOMETIME IT STILL GOES TO THE AUTO REPAIR PROGRAM. ANYWAY MY BIGGEST PROBLEM NOW IS I CANNOT ACCESS MY DESKTOP AT WORK, A WARNING POPS UP AND SAYS "THERE WAS AN ERROR CREATING TEMPORARY LOCK FILE ON YOUR COMPUTER. THIS IS TYPICAL FOR NON-WINDOWS SYSTEMS. PORT FORWARDER WILL NOT WORK". IF SOMEBODY OUT THERE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND HAD IT FIXED PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW. THANKS
