Can not connect the Dell truemobile 1150 wifi card to my net gear N-150 router, what do I do to correct it?

I have a dell inspiron 8200 laptop with a dell truemobile 1150 mini pci card installed. The router I am using is a net gear N-150 model and the OS is Windows XP pro service pack 3. I show the mini pci card  in the system section. When I check the available networks I see my router listed but when I try to connect it, it goes through the motions but won't connect. How do I correct this probelm. It is driving me crazy. I noticed that the mini pci card has 2 terminals, but for one reason or another I only see one wire ( white) connected, could that be the problem, and if so, how do i correct it?
