Close Local Port
How do I identify what program is using a specific local port?
How do I close a specific local port?
I see traffic on on a specific local port but don't know why.
I am running WinXP sp3 and have wireless router to DSL

To close a port you would need to use either a hardware or software firewall. To identify what is going through a specific port you would need to use a portsniffer along the lines of wireshark.
