Dell 1390 Wireless Lan Mini-Card won't connect to router

Over the weekend, I had a problem with my router not giving a signal anymore. At first I thought it might be a driver problem but my IPod touch wouldn't connect either. So I installed a new wireless router and got everything set up. My IPod touch connects to it just fine and any other computer we use here will connect wirelessly except for my Dell Vostro 1500.

I had originally thought it was a driver problem so I upgraded to the latest driver. That doesn't seem to work either. When I try to connect to the network, it says windows is trying to connect and just keeps looking and looking. I can connect to the internet with an ethernet cable but I'd like to fix the problem so that I don't have an ethernet cable running through the house for someone to trip over.

What could be the problem?

It's a Dell Vostro 1500 running Windows XP SP2 with a Dell 1390 Wireless LAN Mini-Card.
