Dell Hotspot Station

I have a Dell(obviously) Inspiron 15 3521,

My mom accidentally did a system recovery, or something of that sort to my laptop, it deleted all my downloads, when I got to my computer hotspot was not working   stating "Start Error: Error in start the Soft AP!" I thought this was because my computer was reverted to windows 8, I re-installed windows 8.1 thinking it would help, but the same error message came up, i have been searching for some sort of driver to help me out, 'cause that is what everyone else seems to be using to fix this issue, but I can't find anything to help. Please, any ideas to help would be great.

Fabe00,

I was provided this information. Please let me know if it works or not.

If the customer is just trying to set up the notebook as a hotspot since, the following document may help.

http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/04/KCS/KcsArticles/ArticleView?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&docid=616793

Also try looking for the utility via Dell Digital Delivery

If you haven’t directed the user to the My Dell Download FAQs, it gives instructions on how to register, how to reset the password, help with firewalls blocking My Dell Downloads

https://smartsource.dell.com/Web/UserForms/Faq.aspx?Opened=True

You can also direct the user to support.dell.com.  He will need to have an account and have registered his notebook to the account.
