Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop & Dell Wireless WLAN Card/Primary DNS Server Problem

I have two issues.

First, I occasionally get the following pop-up dialog box: "Your WLAN card has stopped working properly." Problem Reports and Solutions advises me to find out if there's an updated version of my card. Here is some of my current card information I obtained via the Dell Wireless WLAN Card Utility:

Wireless Configuration Utility Version A14;

Software details

Software version: 4.102.15.61 March 14, 2007

Driver version: 4.102.15.61 built by: WinDDK December 19, 2006

Where exactly do I go to resolve this issue?

Second, I have a Linksys WRT110 router that I can only get a "local" connection from. My DNS servers are as follows: DNS 1: 209.98.98.98 and DNS 2: 208.42.42.42. When I click to diagnose why, a pop-up appears that says: "cannot communicate with Primary DNS Server(209.98.98.98)." It then gives me the option to "Reset the network adapter 'Wireless Network Connection'". However, this option fails for me. I have obtained a similar result when setting DNS 1 to 208.42.42.42 and DNS 2 to 209.98.98.98. The only difference is "cannot communicate with Primary DNS Server(208.42.42.42)." I have been unable to use the router since at least Thursday, July 08, 2010.

MasterYoda1041,

Are you using Avast Virus protection?
