Dell Inspiron 1545 network controller driver needed!!!

I did a re-install of Windows Vista 64-bit.  I followed the age old rule of installing drivers in the correct order, one by one they all installed correctly.  I was able to get the LAN to work...so i was able to install all windows updates and all that fun stuff.

BUT, i went back to ensure i had all my drivers installed...and low and behold, my network controller is still missing.  I have tried everything i can, dug everywhere, installed EVERY network driver Dell had listed for my model. I went through the effort of opening my laptop up and the wireless card is a Broadcom BCM94312HMG.  I even went and looked all possible drivers up for that wireless card and none of them work.

Can someone lend me a hand to find a correct driver for this thing?!?!

Thanks for trying, but that doesn't work.  All roads lead to nowhere so far!

Any other thoughts?  I'm at a loss, the only time i ever have issues is with these Dell computers.  Irritating as all kinds <ADMIN NOTE: Substitute character removed as per TOU>

Hi Weddle,

I would suggest you to update the Dell system software, BIOS, chipset and then wireless card driver on the system in sequence for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the Dell system software from System Utilities, BIOS from BIOS section, Chipset from chipset section and Wireless card from Network section onto the system and install it.

once again...nothing.  I'm at the end of my rope with this stupid computer.  I'm going to try doing a factory reset with the ethernet cable plugged in and see if i can try to get this thing working correctly.

I have an Dell Latitude E5400 with Broadcom  BCM94312HMG card. It keep disconnect and connect from internet. It is not signal because the signal strength is strong. There is no connection or signal problem if I use and USB Cisco wifi plug. It seems to be the driver problem. I change the Broadcom BCM94312HMG card with a new card and I have the same problem.  It is not the problem with card. I avoid the problem by using the USB Cisco wifi plug. It works all the time now. It is a shame for Dell for lack of support. I will not buy Dell again.

all that is checked needs to be installed. The order DOES matter. Install the intel chipset 1st then install the others. Look for intel wireless, it wont be checked but I think thats the one you're missing. It took me 3 tries to get the correct order.
