Dell Vostro 3560 wireless issue, disconnects from internet constantly
Hi,
I have got dell Vostro 3560 with win8 64bit preinstalled and have problems with wifi card.
My wifi card is connected to router, signal strength is excellent but it disconnects from internet constantly, each 5 minutes.
My network card is - Dell Wireless 1901 802.11a/b/g/n (2.4GHz and 5GHz)
I have installed latest drivers - Driver Version 10.0.0.200 but nothing helps.
when I'm disconnecting and connecting manually that works again ,but for short time 5min...
Please help

Arturas_M,
Try these tweaks....
Start, control panel, device manager. Click on Network and then right click on your wireless adapter, left click properties, power management. Uncheck the box, allow computer to turn off this device to save power.
Click on advanced and lok and see if your adapter has Antenna Diversity. If it does, change the antenna diversity from Auto to Aux. Can you also let me know if your adapter has Antenna Diversity or not(thanks)
Go to the power options, and changed the Wireless Adapter Setting, from Maximum Power Setting to Maximum Performance.

Hi,
my wifi card doesn't have Antenna Diversity.
So I made all other changes, but that not helped.
Today I connected my laptop to another router and had no issue with connectivity,
only one difference what I see, my old router supporting only 802.11b/g standard, but other router supports 802.11n also.
Could it be that my wifi card is compatible only with 802.11n standard? Or drivers issue?

Arturas_M,
Since you connected to another router with no connection issues, I would say look at the settings in your wireless router.
How to login to your wireless router I use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings I use channel 11. I would make a new SSID to make connecting easier. Some Belkin routers have trouble connecting using WPA security. It has problems determining the difference between WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security(Personal) and WPA-AES
