Dell Wireless 1540 Win 7 64-bit Drivers ?
Hello,
I just bought the half mini card DW 1540, but I can't seem to be able to install it on Windows 7 64-bit.
As far as I know only 32 bit driver exists.
Website download says: "32-bit format can be deployed on Microsoft 64-bit operating systems by implementing the WOW64 emulation applications"
So, either the card or defect or I'm doing something wrong. I didn't manage to do it with WOW64, I set some path under advanced environment settings, but I know nothing about these things and the driver still didn't install.

Thanks, but it's a W32 Version A00, it wouldn't install on 64 bit. I have it on my CD and I've already downloaded it.

I got it to at least work with some lenovo driver. I googled "broadcom wlan driver windows 7 64 bit" and there was one dowload. It's recognized as Broadcom something something under Device Manager.
But it is so slow that it take a minute to load the commercial on youtube before even the video starts.

Try installation via the device manager:

but the A00 driver won't install. It says wrong Windows Version.
