Dell Wireless 1704 problem

I bought the new Inspiron 3721 with this wifi / bluetooth 1704.

The wifi speed is decreasing all the time until lose the connection

I've updated the latest drivers: 6.30.59.74 A03

I have read in this forum that many people have the same problem with this card

I configured the card as suggested to other people but no solution

Any solution from Dell?

I'm with Windows 8

Hi maxgammuto,

Check the wireless connection in Safe mode with networking.

Refer the following link which has steps to boot into safemode with networking:

Uninstall and reinstall wireless card drivers:

  • From the Start screen, swipe up and tap the All apps icon.
  • If you have a mouse, right-click on the Start screen and then click All apps.
  • Once on the Apps screen, scroll or swipe to the right until you see the Windows System heading.
  • Tap or click on Control Panel, located under Windows System.
  • Windows 8 will bring up the Desktop and automatically open the Control Panel.
  • Tap or click on the Hardware and Sound link.
  • In the Hardware and Sound window, click or tap Device Manager, located under the Devices and Printers heading.
  • Expand Network adapters from right pane Right–click the specific device you want to uninstall, and then click Uninstall.
  • In the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK.

If the issue persists, try updating the update the wireless router's firmware to the latest available.

I've tried all the suggested solutions but I still have problems, the connection drops

I think it's a problem with this network adapter DW 1704 because other people have the same problem

What can I do?

my laptop is under warranty can I ask to change this card?
