Dell XPS 13 9360 slow to reconnect to wireless network

Hi,

I have an issue with my Dell XPS 13 9360. The issue is present since day 1 (october 2016).

When the laptop was in sleep/hibernation mode and is powered on, it is often very slow to reconnect to the WiFi network. Sometimes it takes up to 1-2 minutes until it reconnects automatically.

I don't have this issue with my work laptop, a Dell XPS 15 (from 2014). Our MacBook connects very fast, too.

Is it due to the new Killer wireless card? I never had those issues with Intel wireless. The drivers are up to date.

SiLiZiUMM,
If you are using a USB device through the new C port on the laptop, then all USB powersave should be turned off.

Set the Windows PowerManagement to High Performance. Then Device Manager =
* Open Network adapters
* Right click each one, click Properties
* For each one, look for a Power Management tab. If listed, click it
Remove the check from "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

SiLiZiUMM,

There seems to be other users with the same issues after the Windows 10 updates. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers to see if that will help resolve this issue.

I already tried that, without success. You say it may be a Windows update causing the issue?

SILIZIUMM,

You can click the links below and try the changing your settings. In the second link try the registry settings close to the bottom. Others have reported this has resolved the same issue in Windows 10.

Four Windows 10 Power Settings You Should Probably Change (Hibernation and Sleep)

BEST FIX: Windows 10 will not connect to WIFI Automatically   Try the registry information in this link

Hi again,

None of this helped, unfortunately. BTW the power management tab is not available on this laptop (as described here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2889143 )

SiLiZiUMM,

Go into control panel  and click power options. What are your power management settings set to?
