Driver Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless-N Adapter windows 7
Hi,
I bought a new labtop studio XPS 1340 and I connected it on the internet by wireless.
I done a windows update and my wireless card doesnt work.
On my device center I see an error message "it can't start (code 10)" for my wireless card.
I search the new driver but I find for XP or Vista but not for Windows 7.
Could you help me?
Escuse me for the English...

Try reinstalling the Vista version. Most Visa drivers work fine in windows 7

Hi There,
I had a similar problem on my Dell Studio 1340 with a 1515 wireless adapter on Windows 7 64-bit platform. The wireless connection would keep dropping in and out intermittently - symptoms which only seemed to appear after a round of Windows Updates. I called Dell Support and their initial response l was that I should go back to Vista operating system as this wireless adapter did not support Windows 7! BUT I stuck to my guns and eventually spoke to a senior tech who told me that this had been reported before and that they were looking in to the problem but that for now all I needed to do was Uninstall the existing driver and then reboot my machine, at which point Windows 7 will start to use a generic driver.... and so far so good. I've now been happily connected for the last few hours.
By the sounds of it, future Windows updates could set me back again, but the same method could be used to restore working order. And in the meantime Dell will be looking in to providing the driver specifically for the 1515 on Windows 7. Apparently.
To uninstall the driver go to start, search for 'Device Manager'. On Device Manager open up the 'Network Adapters' drop down and then right click on your wireless card (Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless-N Adapter) select 'Uninstall' and then 'OK' (note: I was advised NOT to check the box that states 'Delete the driver software for this device')
Then reboot your machine. Go to Wireless Network Connections (ensure that Wireless switch is on!) and it should start installing the relevant driver and then you are away...
Seemed to work for me (for the last few hours anyway!)
