Error 12007
I have spent days searching the internet for a solution. My father's laptop keeps getting this error. I have set Windows as the default network manager, uninstalled the Intel Network Manager from the Dell Drivers & Download page specified for his laptop, reinstalled the driver, flushed the DNS, reset the Winsock, and tried everything else the World Wide Web has been able to help me try. It is telling me the Wireless Radio is turned off. There is no physical switch for the WiFi, and I have searched through the settings, time and time again, but to no avail. This happened the first time, and I switched Windows back to the default network manager and it worked just fine. But the next day it happened again and he hasn't been able to connect to WiFi since then. He is on a Dell Latitude D520 running Windows XP Pro SP3. I am clueless as to what to do next. We have called Microsoft and they were to no help. So, if anyone has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated. He needs this fixed A.S.A.F.P.
Thanks,
Justin

See if you can borrow a USB wireless device.

xChowderrrx,
Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware update and do a quick scan. I suspect your compuer is infected.

That was a last resort option, because we'd have to buy one. Hoping to get it fixed instead.

Error 12007 means that the server name or address could not be resolved. If you hit this error while starting or joining a webinar, it is likely caused by the network security.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Go to the device where the DNS server is running and open the DNS Manager using the command
dnsmgmt.msc
Select the DNS Server which is configured in the device's network interface
Select tab " Forwarders " and click on Edit
Across the option " Number of seconds before forward queries time out ", change the time-out to 15 seconds
Click OK to save the changes
This may help you,
