How to login to your wireless router

Here are instructions to login to your wireless router.

Hit the Windows Key and the R key at the same time. This will bring up the Run prompt.

Type CMD and then hit Enter.

Type

ipconfig /all          (space between the g and /)

and hit Enter. Look for the Default Gateway, should look something like 192.168.1.1 but can be different depending on the wireless router and manufacturer.

Open Internet Explorer or your browser and enter the Default Gateway number into the Address Bar in your browser and hit enter.

You should see a login screen. You must enter the Username and Password to login. On most wireless routers they are...

Username = admin

Password = blank or password

but these can vary on the manufacturer. Please consult your wireless routers installation instructions for the correct information.

I highly recommend that you use these Recommended Wireless Router Settings in your wireless router to make connecting work at its greatest.

I am using Comcast Xfinity router. the login url 192.168.1.1 is not working on my pc ? How do I login into my router?

Answer: You can go to this blog fro more info about logging into the wifi router: 10-0-0-0-1.org

Not necessarily all the router will be using 192.168.1.1 as the default login address. My apple router uses 10.0.1.1 as the default login address

You can use these steps which I find on Google-

  1. Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to the Address bar and enter the IP Address of your router then press Enter. For example, 192.168.15.1 is the default IP of most VOIP routers.
  3. A new window promptsUsernameer name and Password.

I have a Linksys WRT3200ACM AC3200 MU-MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi Router, and I found that it is using 192.168.1.254. But I have a question that how to improve its speed I searched a lot on the internet but don't get any solution. here

The login or setup process of a router is not so tough. If you get proper guidance this will be easy enough. You must change Netgear router password frequently for the security.

When i login Comcast xfinity router, i had entered 10.0.0.0.1 into browser and i am unable to login. But after reading this 10-0-0-0-1.info blog i realize this is wrong ip address correct is 10.0.0.1.

Try logging into your wireless router through various other IP Addresses like 192.168.100.1192.168.11.1192.168.15.1192.168.10.100 etc. These are some of the most common default gateways used by most of the routers.

You can try changing the default gateway to any of the above mentioned IP addresses and then try logging into router
