I Reinstalled windows xp and i'm missing the ethernet controller

Very frustrated have spent hours upon hours tri\ying to fix this

already tried

• dell drivers
• installing dell drivers in safe mode
• uninstalling/reinstalling
• bios

I have a dell dimension 4550 with service code .

I have gotten the drivers to extract/install but the question mark is still there in device manager.

Also, I installed windows sp3 through usb and still am having same problems
