Hello,

Which wifi card do you have in the system?  I believe that system model had options for the Dell 1703, 1704, and 1705 versions of the wireless cards.

Do you get an error message when trying to install the wireless drivers?  If so, what message are you getting?

Here is a link to the Drivers & Downloads page for the Inspiron 3421.  The OS options for the drivers, for Windows 7, is for the 64-bit version but I think most of the wireless card drivers will also work for the 32-bit versions as well.  Is this where you tried to install the drivers from?

Please give us a bit more information on what is happening when you are trying to install the drivers and I'll see if I can find how to resolve the problem.

Todd
