Inspiron 530s, can't connect to WiFi?

I can see all of the available networks to connect to, but every time I try to connect to any network it just says "Can't connect to this network". This is a problem with my computer, not a problem with the modem/router. I am using a Dell Inspiron 530s, running Windows 8.1.

Try a real ethernet wire.

In this modem/router under your control? Do you have access to it?

I do have access to it, but I can't use a ethernet cable because it is too far away.

1. Forget (delete) the credentials for that SSID/AccessPoint. Use the correct password next time.

2. Not a reason
