Poor Support

I am trying to get help in resetting up my Dimensions 9200. The following are the questions that i have been trying to get through to the Tech support line for help, but I can not hear the technician  as I am hard of Hearing.

a    How do I get into the bios to reset the size of my partician.

b.   My Sound has dissappeared completely.

c.   I have no Media Player.

d.   I have lost stand-by, it is there but is greyed out.

My system is under warranty and I have ranf the help line 5 times this morning but they put me through to a Waiting line which cuts itself off after 10 minutes.

Can any good friend please assist me in getting my system back to the norm

Bios does not set or control the disk partition size.  So you cannot get the bios to do what you want.

b.   My Sound has dissappeared completely.

Chipset drivers as well as directx patches should be installed before audio drivers.

c.   I have no Media Player.

Media player wont run with no audio devices present.

d.   I have lost stand-by, it is there but is greyed out.

Not having chipset drivers means you also do not have ACPI drivers and therefore standby is not an option due to the yellow ! in the device manager.

This is a user forum not warranty support.

On Site Support is expensive.   You should try Dell Chat or some other method for support.
