Yesterday I updated Windows 10. Shortly afterwards I lost Ethernet connectivity. I have a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller with the latest driver. I can connect another of to the Ethernet cable and have internet service. Any thoughts on what may have gone wrong? I've already run the networking diagnostics, rolled back the Windows update, and updated the controller drivers. Wifi is not an option on the pc.
This 2008 desktop was never validated with Windows 10. So we cannot know what issues it might create. You stated, "rolled back the Windows update". Does that mean that you removed Windows 10 and went back to one of the validated operating systems (Windows XP/Vista/7) ? If yes, what operating system?
