Vostro 3450 win7 64 Pro Can not Get the wireless to work??

Hi,

I have been in the Dell support site and have downloaded all the drivers that were recommended for mt laptop, issue is that I still can not get the wireless to work?

Yes I have tried the Fn/F2 keys to enable/o any luck, as well as checking the bios to make sure it was turned on.

The nly driver that I can notfind is the

PCI\CC_0280 network controller which I believe is  for wired connection.

My laptops working fine wireless until I reinstalled the OS and yes I used the OEM Pro Dell disc

Please help , have been messing with this for days now

You need to open the out of warranty 2011 laptop and check the actual WiFi card to see which one was installed. Then we can locate the correct driver.

Still having issued with the wireless and bluetooth drivers

(prior to re-installing the OS the wireless was working fine)

Perhaps this would help?

Also I did try this driver as a long shot, it did show that my wirless was enabled in my adapter settings but down by the clock I had the red ex over the signal strength  and also a incorrect driver warning sI I have uninstalled that.

Incorrect driver:

Network_Driver_9T8XY_WN32_10.0.0.309_A03 (1)

Chris,

Sorry I can not even find where the  card is located nor the Dell Service manual only the owners.

Dell does show this as a replacement perhaps its the same on in the 3450 now?

Any other way to id the actual card? I did pull off the key board and nothing there?

Philip

Thanks for the instructions, but #1 would not work. Updates I did have already as well as updated IE11.

Tried the driver and it rand a bit and just stopped at the end and just sat there. Waited 1/2 hour and then manually restarted the laptop and got the blue screen.

The network adapter that is working so far is the

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

I fear that I will have to do yes another fresh install of the OS again?

I did order a driver disc for the 3450 off Ebay ( I know its a last chance) ,that is supposed to be delivered this Sat,

Finally found a driver that works, Dell 1901 802.11 a/b/g

Driver details:

5525_Network_Driver_GRM5G_WN_WLAN_10.00.59B_A01

Now to see is that is also bluetooth, but at least Im wireless again

Thanks
