Setup should look like...

If using DSL, a DSL Filter MUST be on ALL devices, phone, answering machine, faxes, etc..., everything EXCEPT the DSL Modem/Router.

You may share a DSL Filter.

How to repair a connection

Sometimes connections fail due to power flickers. Try turning off your ISP Modem/Router, your wireless router and your computer for 60 seconds, then turn on the ISP modem/router. Wait 15 seconds, then turn on the wireless router(if any). Try to connect. Usually this happens during electrical storms and when there are power interuptions. Doing this resets everything back and then the connection resumes as normal.

This was made a while back. I tried to keep it up to date but sometimes feel it needs to be updated. If there is anything that you or any other member feel that should be added, please feel free to let me know and I will be more that happy to edit the thread so it's at the top for quicker access.

Links are also helpful. Sharing the knowledge and helping everyone get their computers working is what it's all about.
