What is ModemHelp and what does it do?
So I'm tooling around the programs on the new Dell and I come across something called "ModemHelp". I guess curiosity got the better of me and I opened it. That was my first mistake. Suddenly, before the program even launches, my Start button, task bar and system tray all vanish. I close ModemHelp and try to do a re-start, hoping that will fix the problem. It did, eventually, but ModemHelp wouldn't end or respond. Does anyone know just what this thing is and what it does?

Modem helper is a utility for fix dial up modem problems .Try doing a system restore to a point before you messed with the program .Click start>all programs.accessories>system tools>system restore when the system restore window pops up click next choose a date on the calander when your computer was working fine and click next and next again when your computer reboots automatically your system should be back to normal.
