Wifi problem on latitude E6400

Hi

i've bought this model a month ago and i tried the wireless but i don't know why this doesn't work.

when i switch the wifi catcher the light doesn't turn on and so the wireless connection cannot be stablished.

when i run the diagnostic on the dell control point it says that the wifi hardware and software are healthy then the light turns on and doesn't turn off until i switch it off.

I 've checked all the bios and other settings

does anybody know how i can solve this problem

i have vista business

yours

ababar,

Some basics.

The WiFi Catcher on my laptop, only shows me the available networks. I have to click on wireless manager to connect.

My laptop has a switch on the side to turn the wireless on and off. Some Dell models, you have to press the Fn and F2 buttons at the same time.

If you use Windows  Updates, it is great for Windows Updates ONLY. I have seen so many people update drivers from Microsoft and the devices are either offered the wrong drivers and/or the drivers get installed wrong, causing the devices to fail.

What do you see in the device manager?

ababar,

Do you really need to use Dell Control Point? I have heard where people have problems with this and some don't.
