virajnimbalkar,

When you installed the operating system, did you install the Dell System Software(if applicable) and the chipset drivers first? If not, the rest of the drivers will fail to install. How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Start with the Dell System Software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

Hi,

Thanks for reply,

I installed windows 8 long back last year feb 13 , Now i have windows 8.1 64 bit clean installation.

i manually downloaded driver and installed. On Driver download page there are 3 network driver.

one is for Ethernet card other 2 are wireless(i am confused which one to use) .

But still it is not working.

How can i follow your given URL link steps when i have already installed drivers.

its so irritating i am thinking to downgrade back to win 7.

some process on windows 8 hangs the never ends until you restart. i think process stuck  in dead state or zombie state. i am using process hacker to kill but unable yo do that.

Here is my system details.

virajnimbalkar,

Download and install in this order....

Intel HM77 Chipset Driver

Intel Management Engine Interface Driver

Realtek Card Reader Driver

Then download and install...

Realtek RTL8105E/RTL8111E Ethernet Controller Driver

Go to Dell Warranty Status enter your service tag, click on original configuration. Look and see which wireless adapter is installed. Then go to Drivers & Downloads enter your service tag, select your operating system, under network, download and install the drivers for your wireless adapter.

Then download and install Dell Quickset Application

Places to look to see if your Connection is enabled
