XPS 8500 - Internet connection issues

I have seen other posts for this and there has not been any resolution that I could see, nor was I able to comment.  I have been having connection issues for the past week.  I have done a total refresh of the system and that has not worked at all.  Now, I cannot connect at all but yet my laptop, right next to my desktop is connecting fine.
