wireless sbc dsl

Hi...I have my 4600 hard wired for dsl in my bedroom and would like to move it to a spot in the living room but there is no phone jack there...what do I need to make it wireless? A router and card or a simple wireless phone jack system? I'm a bit confused by all this....thanks...

Hi Davedi,

I have a router connected to my cable modem, and a pc wireless card in my second computer. You need to have a router and a PCI wireless card.

Comcast has a customer help forum, where I found out what brand of modem to purchase. Here is a broadband link.

I found Linksys to have an good site, and I learned enough about WEP and WPA to set up the security on the network .

WindowsXP SP2 has some nice networking features.

Thanks for the info...I assume the setup you recommend will work with only one computer...I don't have a network, just want to move my computer to a new location with no phone jack...thaks again.
