xps 410 onboard nic problem

Hello,

since yesterday the onboard nic of my xps 410 doesn't work anymore: no lights when the cable is plugged and windows 7 says "code 31, cannot load driver for device". I tried to disable the nic from the bios (latest version 2.5.3) but the system doesn't boot anymore and is stuck on a "1 2 3" error code. Is there a way to disable the onboard nic (jumper?) ?
