N4032F switch and EMC VNX 5400 connectivity

Currently have Dell R720 servers connected to N4032F with Dell twinax cables and

Dell EqualLogic 6210 SAN's connected to N4032F with Dell twinax cables.

Want to connect EMC VNX 5400 ( has SFP+ ports  with Fiber GBIC's )

Can I just remove the GBIC's from the EMC VNX and connect it with Twinax cable or do I need to put GBIC's in N4032F and connect them with Fiber??

Or do I need something else?? EMC asked if Dell stuff does active/active on their ports??

A Finisar FTLX8571D3BNL works for connecting Dell N4032F to a EMC VNX or Data Domain

The following EMC white paper specifically says. "Supports SFP+ and Active TwinAx cables only (Passive TwinAx cables not supported)"

However Dell's SFP+ DACs are all passive. Meaning the DAC will not work for the connection between the EMC and N4032F.

So, can I use a 10g Fiber GBIC in the N4032F  and connect them that way?

I don't see why not. Here are some part numbers for the N4032F.

10GBASE-SR, is part number RK0CX.

10GBASE-LR, is part number 7002X.

10GBASE-LRM, is part number H8DRR.

10GBASE-ER, is part number 194JN.

I do not know what the corresponding part  numbers are for the VNX5400.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear you found a transceiver that works for this setup.
