DELL INSPIRON XPSM2010

Hello All,

I am facing a unique problem.. my dell inspiron xps m2010 boots and i get the windows logon screen. i cannot enter the password as my keyboard does not recognise the input when done.

the num lock, scroll and the caps lock button blink continously in blue. the mouse too exhibits the same behaviour. external mouse works, but external wired keyboard does not provide any input measures.

Even after powering off the machine, completly with power removed the keyboard lights ( caps, scroll and numlock) blinks) i tried removing the keyboard battery and reinserting it , but of no avail.

Can any body advise any remedial measures.
