Duplicate music files that aren't there!?!?

When I do a music search on my INSPIRON 6000 (Windows XP) the results show that I have two of every music file in the same location, but when I look in the location i can only see one.  Also if I delete one of the two files in the search, then both of them disappear as well the one in the file location.

Is this just a visual anomolly or do two files actually exist (and therefore duplicating the amount of memory being taken up)?

Hope someone can help

Cheers

Hi, Danny:

The files themselves are likely only in one location, but some programs create an index of the files that seems to point to a different location. You should be able to see this in the file path.

Thank you.

The File Path's are identical.  Adding to my confusion???

Hi, Danny:

The only thing I can think of is that one of them is being referenced by your recent files list. Sorry, no other ideas.
