Error Message at Startup
I keep getting this error message everytime I restart my computer (C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\lxcftime.dll missing entry;rundllentry). Can anyone tell me what is going on with this and what I should do to remedy the problem?

This error has to do with a Lexmark printer driver try this:
You need to change the setting of the Service to do this:
To edit Services right click on Computer, left click Manage and select Services. Find the Lexmark service in the list, double click and set it to Manual, then Stop service. This tells the computer to only start up the Lexmark software when you need to print which is exactly as it should be since otherwise it is a freeloader on your system resources and start-up time.

Thank you for your fast response. I tried what you said but could not positively identify any lexmark file. I did assume one was it and changed it to manual but the error still occurrs. That file was (lxcf_device) there was no other file that I could associate with lexmark. Please advise if you have the time.
Thanks, Joe

Joe,
What is the make and model of your printer?
How is the printer connected to your computer, make and model and operating system needed?

jwlisland,
Usually when people post an error messagee like yours, it usually has to do with the drivers either being corrupted or some people opt for Windows Updates to update their drivers and then the wrong drivers get installed and/or the drivers are not installed correctly, causing many devices to fail.
I would first try unistalling the printer(s), make sure the printers are gone(Manual Printer Driver Removal) then restart your computer.
Download the Lexmark Vista Drivers for the X4270 and install this first, choosing network. Then I would try installing the drivers for the Lexmark X4530. Restart your computer and see if you have any error messages. Some printer manufacturers have a printer cleanup utility and some don't.
What happens?

The printers are lexmark X4270 and X4530 connected through a network wirelessly. I am using a Dell inspiron with Windows Vista operating system.
Thanks for helping out here,
Joe

I appreciate your post but I did exactly what you said and went to the extent of upgrading to Windows 7 which was an option I had. The error message still appears. I know where the file is and wondered what would happen if I just deleted it. I don't know if that is an acceptable practice but I would like to get rid of the message. Both of the printers are working fine but for some reason this message is still showing up requiring me to click okay on it to get the message off my desktop. I'm assuming there is nothing wrong with the hardware or software because I am not having any difficulties with anything at this point except for this lone error appearing.
Thanks, Joe
