No email notifications because of illegal sender domain

Hi,

I have enabled email notifications for new posts and private messages in my Dell Community Forum account, but I don't get any notifications even if there are answers to my posts.

I checked my email address, it is correct. I also checked my spam folder and there aren't any notifications from Dell in it.

So I checked the mail logs of the MX server responsible for my email domain. There are delivery attempts which seem to be from the Dell Forum:

NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from smtp.lithium.com[208.74.204.5]: 450 4.1.8

  : Sender address rejected: Domain not found; from=

    to=

     proto=ESMTP helo=

(I have replaced my email address with )

As you can see, the email is blocked because it uses the non existing domain "dellcommunity.dell.com" in the from address. Maybe the domain exists within the local Dell network, but not in the internet.

It is a very common and valid policy to block emails with illegal from addresses as it reduces spam drastically.

Please configure the forum to comply with common internet practices and use a valid sender address, even if it is a "noreply" address.

Thanks.

Hi,

any news on this? The issue still seems to be there.
