TV Tuner Card
This should probably go in the "silly Question" file but here goes. Trying out the TV care in my new XPS8100: Remote and infrared sensor I understand. Also in the box is a long, thin black cord; one end is mini-plug on the other is a very small red plastic thingy. What is this? Thanks in advance

Sounds like it could be an IR Transmitter cable so you can change channels directly on a set-top box.. Assuming it's the Hauppage HVR 1250, check under Step 6 here:
