XPS 600 Drive 5 Not Found: Parallel ATA, PATA-1 (PRI IDE slave)
Hello, I have a XPS 600. I have two problems (maybe they are related).
- I replaced the DVD CD-RW Drive with a new LG DVD CD-RW Drive and am now receiving the following message every time I start my computer: Drive 5 Not Found: Parallel ATA, PATA-1 (PRI IDE slave). Press F1 to ignore, or F2 to enter Setup.
- I have a ribbon in the hard drive labeled HDD3 that is not connected to anything and I am not sure if this is how it should be or if I need to plug that into a slot on the motherboard.
Any help is greatly appreciate.

Hi There,
You just need to go to the system setup by tapping the F2 key as soon as you turn on the computer and you will be into a blue coloured screen and you need to use u need to navigate down to drives and hit enter and again move down to drive 5 pata 1 and hit enter and highlight off and hit enter this should fix the issue in case if you still have the issue let me know.

one more thing after you turn off the drive you need to hit escape and then select save nad exit and hit enter
