cd/dvd player
My computer has a cd/dvd player writer but it now for some reason does not even show up? it does nothing when i put a disk in. I think it happened after I did a windows update. I have tried the fixit thing and that didnt work. I looked everywhere in my computer and its like it does not exist. Help!

This problem can be fixed by deleting the upper and lower filters, which are registry settings. The procedure is described in the CD/DVD FAQ under "code 39 error".
Please let me know if that worked!!
