ethernet controller and smbus controller
i have dell inspiron 1520, i ve two missing drivers ethernet controller and smbus controller. i don't have the CD to download them as i am abroad for the next 6 months . please advice how can i download them? thanks

For which operating system and which version (32 or 64 bit)?

windows xp professional edition. i manged to get the ethernet, i download broadcom 44x 10/100 integrated controller. but i failed to connect to the dsl, cz when i connect it takes time for ip address renwel, then it stopped asking connecting the service manger. is this cz i don't have the smbus controller or did i get the wrong driver.

Hi Sally,
Did you install the chipset drivers? I think you must have missed that one and it's supposed to be installed first.

thanks for ur reply, i didn´'t instal lhe chipest drivers i tried to download it from intel download centre but i failed, do u know how can i get it?

Click Support above, then go to downloads, enter your service tag, and you'll find all of the drivers for your system. I'm prompted to ask where you've been getting your drivers before now?
