OMIVV using FX2 (14G) FC640 displays inventory failed
All 12 inventory jobs fails with the error message "inventory failed for host . Unable to connect to iDRAC IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". But this is not true as we can see the connections being made on port 443.
We have enabled all LLC options. LLC is taking inventory on boot.
We can ping back an fourth between iDRAC's and OMIVV with name resolution, NTP tested and DNS (Forward/Backwards) confirmed as working.
We are getting some details from the iDRAC into VMware and details in CMC from vCentre.
The OMIVV is making a connection to each IDRAC as we can see this on the FW using port 443 but the inventory still fails and the connection get reset.
When I navigate to OpenManage Intergration -> Profiles -> connectionProfiles in vCentre and test the connection Profiles all PASS (both iDRAC and Host creds)
Has anyone had this issue or similar?
Versions:
vCentre Version 6.5.0.20000 Build 8815520
BIOS Version per sled | 1.4.8 |
Lifecycle Controller Firmware | 3.21.21.21 |
OMIVV Version | DellEMC_OpenManage_Integration_4.2.0.2258_A00 |
OSMA VIB | OM-SrvAdmin-Dell-Web-9.1.0-2757.VIB-ESX65i_A00 |

Update: Spoke with DELL support and this is a known issue (not public) whereby when using the FX2 chassis the service TAG returned is not the service TAG of the SLED(Server) but the service TAG of the chassis which causes an issue when OMIVV tries to do inventories. Was told that a release in October (version 4.3 of OMIVV) should fix this issue.

We are being told the same thing. OMIVV is broken on our M1000e and M620 blades running ESXi 6.5. The only workaround they could provide was upgrading to 6.7 or downgrading to 6.5u1.

OMIVV 4.3 will be released in the next 24 hours, which will fix this issue.
Best regards,
