7060 MT, need the blue clip, caddy for slim DVD

Hello all.

I purchased a Dell Optiplex 7060 MT (mid-tower). It has a plate cover for a slimline DVD-RW but did not come with the DVD-RW. It takes a 9.5mm drive. However, in the Dell service manual for the 7060 clearly show a blue clip or caddy that's required for it to snap in place. My machine does not have the blue piece of plastic.

Hard drive and DVD caddies are usually easy to find in the usual aftermarket stores, but not this piece. In fact, I cannot even find the part number for this piece. Do anyone have any experience obtaining this piece, or a Dell rep could chime in?

It seems to be the same compatible part among 3050, 3060, 5050, 5060, 7050 and 7060 (MT, mid-tower).

By the way, if anyone reading this DOES own an Optiplex from this series (3040, 3050, 3060, 5040, 5050, 5060, 7040, 7050, 7060) MT, with a slimline Optical drive installed, can you pull out this blue piece and take a pic of it so we can see the entire unit?

Also, check to see if anywhere on the piece there's a Dell part number etched on it?

Thanks. I took a chance and ordered that latch. That looks exactly like what I need.

I'll bet there is no screw holding it on, but likely just "snaps" on the slim optical drive.

You should not bet because you will lose.

I mention the screw because I have the unit to physically look at in my hands.9m9fk with screw9m9fk with screw

OK. I have a cache of "assorted Dell screws" so i'll check to see if I have one that fits among those. I have a unit of the clip ordered from eBay, arriving sometime soon.
