Any chance of blu ray R/W?

got many users that would like it to play vids/store more data on a disc.

dell doesn't offer it in the OptiPlex line--why not?  even as a option...

Re: Any chance of blu ray R/W?

My own opinion, not Dell's. The OptiPlex line is sold as a "business" line system, not a "consumer" line. In most cases users would not be using their PC's for such items. An aftermarket blu ray burner could be purchased, and best option would be a USB connected unit.

I get it, but would be nice to have for the extra storage space. We use it for Attorneys that have cases with large files and videos--to send to victims/folks that request the info. we do have external, but kinda **bleep** having the extra piece of equip taking up space....

Nothing Special about optiplex vs anything else.

Physical media is on the way out and Blueray is $100 or more.

I recommend this to all my clients.

For Playback I recommend Cyberlink Power DVD.
