sorry I got confused when I replied earlier (I deleted my incorrect reply).  the ASUS motherboard is actually microATX which will fit the optiplex 7010 MT tower.  You would need to rewire the Dell front panel power switch cables to fit ASUS because ASUS uses its own nonstandard power switch header.

Regarding cpu fan, you can not use the Dell heatsink. The ASUS board has no back plate.  this makes it easier to use third party heatsink fan assembly from reputable vendor such as Noctua, Coolermaster, Bequiet etc.

EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G6, 80 Plus Gold 650W will fit 7010 mt.

To be on the safe side the maximum GPU length you can use on OptiPlex 7010 MT is between 9.5 and 10.0 inches. Everything above that calls for drive bay removal. Removing the bay will free space and give you the option to use a proper (long) size version of the GPU.

135 mm is about the tallest heatsink that can fit Optiplex 7010 MT (series 4) case.

Dell Optiplex 7010 · Dimensions (W x D x H). Mini-Tower (175 x 417 x 360 mm)

Reference

XPS 8900 ... Dimensions Height. 406.80 mm (16 in). Width. 185.34 mm (7.3 in). Depth. 444.26 mm (17.5 in)

for XPS 8900, the tallest heatsink that can barely fit is 145 mm.

One option is Noctua NH-D9L, 110 mm tall.  TDP 140w

Ok is the Dark Rock Slim a good option and also what are some good case fans

December 6th, 2021 17:00

So since a NH u9s is 125mm tall would it fit with a tight squeeze

December 6th, 2021 17:00

Ok I'll do more research and by the way what case fans would fit snug?

NH u9s will fit easily.  7010 MT chassis rear fan is Dell proprietary 92 mm 5 pin.

Noctua or Corsair fans are good but you will need to use adapter to plug into 5 pin socket of Dell mobo.

What are some good case fans I cant find any that will fit

Noctua NF-A9 PWM, NF-A9 PWM (noctua.at)

and you need this adapter to convert to Dell 5 pin to replace Dell case rear fan
